Faculty Open Forum
There will be a Faculty Open Forum at the Bean Broker from 8:15-9:45 am, 11 August 2017 (Friday). The Faculty Senate Leadership and the VPAA host this discussion. Last year’s discussion provided an opportunity to reflect and discuss matters in higher education; this year I hope we can continue to share our thoughts about CSC and Higher Education.
Events Prior to the First Day of Classes
Accompanying this VPAA Update are the scheduled activities during 14-18 August 2017. Two of the documents consist of events prior to the first day of class for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs/Services. The third document is the Opening Day events, 18 August 2017. Prior to the end of Spring semester, these schedules were sent with the 5 May 2017 VPAA Update. Minor revisions and updates have transpired.
Academic Affairs Contact Information and Academic Faculty Calendar
A fourth attachment provides Contact Information. A fifth attachment is the Faculty Calendar for 2017-18. If you have questions, contact your dean.
Comprehensive Evaluation of CSC
Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Institutional Actions Council Committee was scheduled to review CSC materials 31 July 2017. I expect notification of their decision in the near future.
Accreditation and Oversight
The Title II Report Card for the CSC Education Program was submitted 18 April 2017. This report was for the 2015-16 AY (academic year). Information regarding this report is available from Dean Powell (email@example.com).
