Definitions and Course of Action
No Show Definition
A No Show is defined as a student who has never begun attendance in a particular course.
More specifically for online learners, a student is considered to begin attendance if he/she has interacted in the course and/or submitted assignments, etc. Accessing the course does not qualify as “begin attending.”
CSC’s Course of Action
Chadron State College Student Services uses this information for financial aid purposes only as this may impact their eligibility. First, they contact these students asking their intention for the course as well as share with them the financial aid implications. They then encourage them to take appropriate action.
Please Note: These students WILL NOT automatically be dropped from the class and they will be financially responsible for it unless they drop the course by the drop deadline.
