The TLC is presenting a workshop in February on using screencasts to enhance instruction, and I wanted to recommend it to you. The workshop will highlight Screencast-o-matic, a cool tool for you to use to present online content and for your students to use to demonstrate their learning.
This application is fairly straightforward to use for capturing what is displayed on your computer screen as you explain details regarding the screen content. You might use it to record a “Getting Started” tutorial, a mini-lecture, an announcement, or a narrated PowerPoint. Students can apply it to present and describe course projects shared with you and their classmates.
For further details about the workshop, view the complete description at http://academic.csc.edu/tlc/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/TLC_Workshop_Screencast_Patterson.pdf.
