The main level of the LLC will be transformed into a miniature golf course, consisting of nine putting greens that include an assortment of interesting obstacles, all of which will be designed by the LLC and Learning Center student workers. The nine-hole course will include cardboard ramps, table obstructions, and book shelf traps.
Golfers will tee off on the first hole located near the Circulation Desk, venture into the Learning Center, then continue to enjoy the holes scattered around main level of the LLC. In addition to having a lot of fun, reducing stress, and trying to achieve a hole in one, the high school students will be exposed to the many new services the LLC offers – the Library, Career Services, the Learning Center, Transitional Studies, Project Strive/TRIO, IT Help Desk, and Book Ends, the LLC coffee shop.
This event was held last year during Scholastic Day and was well-received, drawing over 200 students in to the library.
