Did you know that the CSC Law Collection is the only print legal collection in a three county area? Did you know that the print legal collection is sometimes more up-to-date than online sources? Did you know that the Law Collection is open to members of the community to use?
The Law collection has been moved to the southwest corner of the upper level of the library. This means that most of the non-fiction collections are now on the same floor (the exceptions are Ready Reference and the Rotating Collection). The new space will provide easy access to the print legal collection and will also better accommodate a growing collection. A law “living room” has been created to facilitate using multiple volumes of these books at one time, as well as being an optimal space for legal studies and criminal justice classes to engage in quiet study. The space also has several tablets nearby which allows students, staff, professors, and community members access to online sources such as Westlaw.
The space is not only for legal studies students. It is open to all CSC students and LLC visitors to utilize whenever there is not a class in session.
