Although Turnitin is generally thought of as a plagiarism detection tool, it can also be used to improve the grading of written assignments. It includes features such as descriptive commenting and rubric grading that can enhance student feedback while simultaneously streamlining the grading process. These features will be covered in a multi-session TLC workshop offered this September.
Upon completion of the workshop, participants will have a host of comments andrubrics at their disposal for use in their own courses, as well as a detailed understanding of how the Turnitin service works.
If you are interested in participating, visit the “Seminars & Workshops” page on the TLC website: http://www.csc.edu/tlc/workshops/index.csc
